Layout plans, room by room

Every room of this sample two-bedroom apartment drawn to scale from its floor plan, with each piece of furniture where it goes, its size and how far it sits from the walls. It is the same layout as the design pack and the 3D walkthrough, and it is the sheet a delivery crew or a handyman would work from.

How to read these plans

North is up. All measurements are in centimetres, from the finished wall face.
Wall lengths are taken from this sample's floor plan, an original HomePrint design layout. Check them on site before ordering.
The numbers on the plan match the tables under it. "Where it goes" gives the gap from each piece to the nearest walls.
The dimension lines outside each room run wall by wall, with the doors and windows; the outer line is the full wall.

The front door is hinged on its west side and opens into the hall; the shoe cabinet stands just past its swing.
On the hall's east wall, the laundry door is 80 cm and the bathroom door 335 cm from the front door wall. Both open away from the hall.
The dimension line on the bedroom wall shows the two bedroom doors: the primary bedroom door 285 cm from the west wall, the guest bedroom door 590 cm from it.

The bed is reached from its south side; its north side sits 32 cm from the window wall, clear of the curtains.
The door is in the south wall, 190 cm from the bed wall and 90 cm wide. It opens into the room, hinged on its east side, and its open leaf stops 5 cm short of the desk.

Both doors open into their rooms, hinged at their south sides. The bathroom door swings over the edge of the bath mat, so keep the mat a thin one.
